The winner of the Big Tour on the first day of the finale of CAVALIADA Tour was home rider Jarosław Skrzyczyński.

The first Big Tour class, for the prize of Education First, under the patronage of the Polish Horse Breeders Association, was played out as a speed competition, where faults are calculated into penalty seconds. The winning combination of the CAVALIADA Sopot Grand Prix proved they are in great shape – Jarosław Skrzyczyński took the victory aboard 9-year-old Inturido. Andrius Petrovas with Gigollo was faster, but the risk he took resulted in two knockdowns. Third place went to Germany’s Robert Bruhns with DSP Corbain.

„The plan was to ride smooth and steady and take all the turns, and we would see how the opponents will respond.” – commented the winner. When asked about the specifics of the final competition, he said: „The horses will jump for three days here, and the first course is set in such a way so as not to use their potential to the maximum, so that on Sunday they would still be in full strength, and as we know on Sunday it’s the hardest part.”

Today’s win took Skrzyczyński up to the sixth place in the World Cup Central European League ranking. The leader is still Hungary’s Zoltan Czékus.

There were a lot of emotions in today’s CAVALIADA Driving Tour competition, for the prize of Sobiesław Zasada Automotive, under the patronage of the Polish Equestrian Association. The youngest competitor – Aleksander Fularczyk, took advantage of his rivals’ mistakes in the second round and took the spectacular win with Edje, Ares, Neptun and Nuta. Second place belonged to Piotr Mazurek, and third to Bartłomiej Kwiatek.

„I knew it in the back of my head that I had a Chance to win. I knew my horses, I trained a lot and I counted on it. It didn’t happen in Warsaw, Poznan and Sopot, but the final is lucky for us so far. We will see what Saturday brings us. Now it’s time to cool down so to go into the final with a clear head.” – said Fularczyk.

All will be decided on Saturday. The leader before the big finale is Piotr Mazurek, followed by Bartłomiej Kwiatek and today’s victor.

There was fierce rivalry in the Middle Tour class, for the prize of H2POLAND and under the patronage of Tylkoskoki.pl. Ultimately, Polish rider Mateusz Tyszko was unbeatable with Zirocco Air, followed by Małgorzata Koszucka with Keira Hippica and Kornelia Kurleto riding Lausanne 65.

The opening Small Tour class, for the prize of the President of the Board of Arena Krakow, under the patronage of Equista, ended with the win of Lithuania’s Andrius Petrovas with Remember Me. Second place went to Dutchman Piet Raijmakers Jr with Van Schijndel’s Hanibal, and third to Maciej Handzlik from Poland with Fiora Sunrise.

The best rider in the Amateur Tour, for the prize of Nuba Equi and under the patronage of In_Spire Foundation, was Alina Sitek riding Karezzo WP. Elżbieta Jodłowska with Rubin took second, and Olga Pawłowska with Ivo finished third.
